What games I am looking forward to in 2019

With February rapidly coming to an end the future of the Nintendo Switch continues to look bright with many great games on their way many which we saw at the recent Nintendo Direct and many more which we are still waiting to find out about.

With the Many great games on the horizon here are 5 of the games I am looking forward to the most in 2019 ( in no particular order)

5. Yoshi’s Crafted World.

yoshis_crafted_world-1The last Yoshi game I played was Yoshi’s story on the N64 and I had absolutely no intention of buying Crafted World…until its demo dropped and I loved it. Before I realised I wanted Yoshi’s Crafted World I thought the start of the year was going to be barren for me. And who says a 31-year-old man(child) can’t enjoy a Yoshi game?

4. Final Fantasy X & X2

Although I have always been a big huge fan of Nintendo back in the days of the N64 I also owned a PS2  (the heresy I know) the one game I only ever played on it at first was Final Fantasy X, I loved the story and of course playing Blitzball. The ending of it upset me, so much I imported X-2 and a special disc to let me play foreign games just because I heard of the secret ending with Tidus so I had to beat it. Sure, X-2 isn’t the greatest game in the series but I still enjoyed it, although I hated the mini-game it forced you to play in one of its missions, it actually had the audacity to make me improve my maths ( I am hopeless at maths) to get through the mission. Finding out about X-2 being a download I was put off, but luckily with the Asia version getting both on the cart, it’s back on my list.

3. Bayonetta 3

Sure this might not come out in 2019, but we haven’t heard it’s not…yet.

I am a latecomer to the Bayonetta franchise, I didn’t play it until it came to Switch, I missed it on the Wii U due to living in China, it was hard to find U.K Nintendo games here and I hate digital, So when I heard it was coming to Switch, knowing Japan were getting 1 & 2 on their own carts and it supported English, I imported the Non Stop Climax edition. After I finally got it I fell in love with the games and now can not wait for the third instalment and see how Bayonetta’s story continues.

2.  Pokemon Switch

I am a big Pokemon fan and am now nervously waiting to see what gen. 8 will be like. Pokemon Let’s Go was a nice little game to wet my beak while waiting for gen. 8, I hated the idea of Let’s Go at first but after giving it a chance I did enjoy it, but I can’t wait for the authentic Pokemon experience on a Nintendo home console ( a mainline game anyway).

1. Animal Crossing

I LOVE Animal Crossing games, I loved new leaf and playing the Major it was a nice feature which breathed new life into the games, but after the loss of my 3DS XL, I couldn’t bring myself to start the game all over again ( it was a digital copy), thanks to Nintendo I did get all my digital games back, but after so many hours of gameplay, creating my own patterns to create a perfect town just being gone I haven’t played the 3DS game since. But it makes me wonder what will the next game bring? will we still play the new major? Will it have the island, again, in which you can interact with random people? or will they add something completely different to the next game only time will tell and for now Pocket Camp will have to quench my thirst.

These were just 5 of the games I am looking forward to with many more such as Astral Chain coming out soon as well.
